In this fireside chat session, Matt Alecock, former head of monetization and current advisor to Scribd, and Dave Zinman, CEO of Infolinks and credited co-inventor of the ad server, will dive into the importance of content classification and targeting on a global scale to the entire display online advertising ecosystem. Alecock and Zinman partnered together to solve a monetization challenge for Scribd that is faced by many publishers today: how can you make money from advertising and not degrade the consumer experience? They deployed an advertising solution that not only added to the consumer experience, but also increased SEO traffic to Scribd. Principles discussed will include the importance of targeting consumers in real-time instead of the more common targeting of a consumer’s previous intent. They will also elevate their conversation to discuss why it is important for publishers to offer advertising solutions that successfully operates on a global scale and enhance user experience.
